Sorting criterias
Changing sorting criteria.
Sometimes we have to skip the Relevance to explore more sorting criteria like Number of competitors listing the product, Amazon best seller position, number of reviews, rating or freshness.
1- Sorting by reviews
Sorting by reviews change is good for some categories, but usually old products have more reviews than new ones, reason why we should Relevance algorithm adds a score decay factor based on the freshness.
2- Sorting by newly added
New discovered products are new EANs never found before in the country, sometimes is useful to sort by freshness to discover product opportunities in early stage, as Relevance need a little time to work its magic.
3- Sorting by number of competitors
